Loved this film so much. The writing and directing were truly powerful. I was both entertained and educated, this film brought a depth of perspective about the murder that was enlightening and transformative. Best TV movie I've ever seen. Bravo Lifetime!

The Menendez Brothers trial happened when I was just a kid. I was vaguely aware of the details but "knew" how awful these boys were. This film threw me for a loop! There was just so much more to the story than I remembered...and now I look at them through completely different eyes. I also cannot believe how archaic the law at the time of the trial seems compared to today. I wonder how the trial would have turned out differently should it be tried today... The writing was superb, the acting well done. I would absolutely recommend this.

This is film, yes a film. The writing, directing and acting are excellent. What is so compelling about this film is that it makes you question if justice was served or denied. It introduces the element of doubt into the outcome of this true story. If this trial were today, would the outcome have been different? The angle, perspective of the story, is original. Personally, I left feeling that these young men deserve another trial, which I know is not possible under our justice system. The film examines the possible abuse that could have provoked such a situation, which albeit, is horrific- but the film asks you to examine why. The acting, particularly Myko Olivier is strong, very strong. He is believable, emotional and really carries the film's heart. Credit goes to all- the writer Abdi Nazemian who gives us nuanced, honest dialogue combined with heart, sincerity and emotion. The directors, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato examine a case that we the public might have viewed one way and have now successfully gotten us to consider another option. Not to mention, the beautiful shots, symbolism, parallels between the brothers and their parents and the art of capturing LA so well. Throughout all of this emotion and serious subject matter, there are moments of humor and certainly entertainment- something Bailey and Barbato do best. And then we are blessed with Courtney Love. You can feel her torture and pain. She is stuck. Love is great actress and we need to see more of her. She's raw and real. All this said, Menendez: Blood Brothers is beyond entertaining!!!! I could have watched 4 more hours of it.
